Community rules

The short version: be the neighbour you would want.

What is welcome

  • Local reporting, questions, and corrections.
  • Disagreement about ideas, expressed without contempt for people.
  • Notices, events, and offers that help someone nearby.

What is not

  • Harassment, threats, or targeting someone for who they are.
  • Spam, repeated advertising, or the same post in every section.
  • Content that is illegal where you live, or that shares someone's private details.
  • Impersonating another person or organization.

How it is enforced

Moderators can hide a comment, remove an ad, or restrict an account. Actions are recorded in an audit log. If you believe a decision was wrong, say so in the forum or contact an administrator; do not re-post the removed content.

Reporting something

Every comment and ad has a report action. Reports go to the moderation queue and are private: the person whose content was reported is not told who reported them.

Accounts

You need a confirmed email address to take part. You can delete your account at any time from your account page; your content is anonymised rather than removed, so discussions stay readable.
